Efficient ion exchange technique for shallow bed

      The key element to remove HSS is the advantage’s shallow resin bed technology, which has a features of a high efficiency, small footprint, highly automatic controlled, small amount of resin, low operational cost. It is a substitute process to the conventional ion exchange. Its advantages are more obvious once in a mobile service.
Packing compactly:
    We develop a fully compacted resin bed, so the resin is fixed to the bed, which avoids any channeling, reflux and short-circuit in the bed. Therefore the consumption of regeneration reagent and its rinsing water can be reduced significantly.

Counter current regeneration with a short cycle:
     Compared to the conventional resin bed that takes approximately 8 hours in exchanging with 1 -3 hours in regeneration, a shallow resin bed will only takes few minutes for a cycle. Normally its cycle takes approximately 2 - 20 minutes. Therefore the shallow bed has a high resin exchanging efficiency. The flow direction of regeneration reagent is opposite to the flow of raw water exchanging, the counter current regeneration significantly reduces the consumption of regeneration reagent.

Fine resin particles
    The diameter of resin particles in shallow bed is only one fifth of the conventional resin’s. These fine resin particles in the shallow bed will significantly improve exchanging dynamics,reduce permeability and mechanical loss of resin. In this way, it can improve the diffusion rate of leaching and reduce the discharge amount of regeneration reagent and rinsing water.
